Our Purpose

Shifting Perspectives, LLC is dedicated to addressing the critical education needs within the American and global education systems, focusing on the challenges faced by culturally and linguistically diverse students. These students often encounter disproportionate obstacles that hinder their academic success, and we are here to change that.

Our mission is two-fold:

1. Empowering U.S. School Teams: We provide high-quality, interactive products and services to school teams across the United States. We aim to make learning more effective and equitable for diverse student groups by equipping educators, related professionals, and parents with the skills and knowledge they need to meet the unique needs of their culturally and linguistically diverse students. We believe that academic success lies in empowering the whole child and we help educators: 1)  shift how they view the unique learning experience of diverse scholars and 2) learn and implement evidence-based practices that promote academic success for these students. Additionally, we commit to contributing 20% of the total annual profit from our children's book sales to a designated school within our local community (District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia [DMV]) to support the creation of inclusive and supportive learning environments where diverse students can thrive.

2. Global Education Initiatives: We are committed to improving education conditions and creating opportunities for marginalized children worldwide. Each year, we commit to dedicating 20% of our total profit to non-profit organizations that aim to increase impoverished children's access to a quality education. Through these efforts, we aim to make a tangible difference in the lives of children who need it the most.
